Welcome to Riverbends!

Riverbends, Inc. exists to promote do-it-yourself genealogy and history, with an emphasis on the digitization of family history. We are nonprofit, independent, and online.  Riverbends works with public, private, parochial and charter schools, as well as with religious, civic and corporate groups.  We offer lectures, workshops, classes and private consulting on how digital technology can help you capture and learn from your family history – and on what you and your organization can learn from the perspective of Black History.

Riverbends specializes in African-American genealogy and history, but everyone interested in researching and sharing information about their family histories will find value and inspiration here at Riverbends.
